Recent Work

During the pandemic, Raj decided that it was time to abandon his career in the business world and focus fulltime on painting. While his approach is steeped in the traditions of Geometric Abstraction and Abstract Expressionism, Raj’s recent paintings veer in a number of directions, including dark compositions with flickering light, playful abstractions that resemble jigsaw puzzles, highly textured works that feel ephemeral, paintings with swirling movements that suggest the spirit of life, and hand-painted photography.
